tufted deer

a small deer, Elaphodus cephalophus, with a distinctive tuft of hair on its head and a pair of tusklike canines, found mainly in the forested mountains of China: compared to the closely related muntjac, the tufted deer is somewhat larger and leaner with a longer neck, and the male’s antlers are barely visible.
