Many of them are of Moslem origin, and the great Arabian historian Tabari has related some of them.
He also quotes from the Chronicle of Tabari a story of a princess who was made to bleed by a rose-leaf lying in her bed.
He is said to have built many great fire-temples, with large gardens and villages (Tabari).
Sir W. Muir is not justified in copying these stories from Tabari.
