Odin gave him his own horse Sleipnir, who up to this time had never allowed another rider to mount him.
Odin's horse Sleipnir was then led forth, on which Hermod mounted, and galloped away on his mission.
Sleipnir was snow-white and beautiful to see, and Odin was very fond and proud of him, you may be sure.
