Nellore is one hundred and seven miles north of Madras, on the main line of railway, and sixteen miles from the seacoast.

So far this has been noticed and collected in Chingleput and Nellore districts.
The cattle are small, but in Nellore and along the Mysore frontier a superior breed is carefully kept up by the wealthier farmers.
The word is rangampattedhi in North Arcot and sodi in Nellore.
