These observations are to be found in one of the early works of Letronne.
Letronne corrects this reading to 2000, which is the number given by Polybius and Arrian.
Letronne translates Πτολεμαῒς πρὸς τῇ θήρᾳ as Ptolemaïs Epitheras; see c. iv.
According to the calculations of Letronne, the Great Pyramid must have been 482 feet high when it was complete.
Groskurd reads Tinx, and also with Letronne observes that our author has mistaken two places for one.
