The Portuguese know this characteristic tree of the coast-land and the interior as imbondeiro (from mbondo in Kimbundu).
None are called on to pray, but voluntarily they all lead in turn, some in English, some in Portuguese and some in Kimbundu.
They are well up in the use of the Portuguese language, and in the Kimbundu.
So with them it would be tautology to say Kimbundu language.
He is a holy young man, a good linguist in Portuguese and Kimbundu, and is doing a good work.
