Ichthyol does not mix well with the albolene, but precipitates quickly.
Lotions of ichthyol and of resorcin, five to sixty grains to the ounce; ichthyol in ointment, five- to twenty-per-cent.
Allow this to almost dry, and then sprinkle on talcum powder which smooths over the dry varnish of ichthyol.
A weak lotion of thymol, corrosive sublimate or ichthyol would doubtless be equally effectual.
An ointment containing twenty-five per cent of ichthyol is also a useful application.
