Halpern prescribes the medi-meth for patients who get recurrent urinary-tract infections—a side effect from Adderall or Ritalin.
“Diversion is one of the key ways prescription meds get out there for illegal use,” continues Halpern.
In other words, “psychedelics work so well, you take fewer doses,” says Halpern.
“This drug appears to shut cluster headaches down and puts patients into remission,” says Halpern.
“[Cluster headaches] is one of the most painful conditions we know of in medicine,” Halpern says.
