An inherited syndrome marked by abnormalities of granulation and nuclear structure of all types of white blood cells; it is often accompanied by hepatosplenomegaly, lymphadenopathy, anemia, thrombocytopenia, radiologic changes of bones, lungs, and heart, skin and psychomotor abnormalities, and susceptibility to infection.
