Ahura-Mazda himself is "true," "the father of all truth," and his worshippers are bound to conform themselves to his image.
Ahura-Mazda had no control over this Power of evil; all he could do was to baffle him.
He must assist Ahura-Mazda in the great contest with evil and darkness, and hence he must do something new.
